The First Tunnel of Fuzhou Binhai Express Line Is Completed, and Earth Pressure/TBM Double-mode Boring Machine of CRCHI Has An Exceptional Performance


Recently, jointly built by China Railway 17th Bureau and CRCHI, the earth pressure/TBM double-mode boring machine, applied in the Dailing Tunnel of Fuzhou Binhai Expressway, successfully completed the left line of Dailing Tunnel. This is the first tunnel completion of the whole line of Fuzhou Binhai Expressway project, marking a good start to the construction of Fuzhou Binhai Expressway project.

The total length of the Dailing Tunnel is 1488m, and the tunnel section has both soft soil and extreme hard rock ground, of which the maximum compressive strength is 200MPa. To adapt to complex changes in geology, the equipment has both earth pressure mode and TBM mode and can not only meet the needs of rapid long-distance tunneling of hard rock, but also meet the tunneling requirements of complex strata including soft soil, soft rock and upper soft and lower hard rock. After simple component adjustment, the flexible switching of the two modes can be quickly completed, and the equipment input cost is greatly reduced.

The earth pressure / TBM double-mode boring machine started underneath pass structures such as foreign language school and existing railway line. After a excavation of more than 100 meters, the equipment entered the whole section of hard rock. The transformation of earth pressure mode to TBM mode was completed safely and quickly. Maximum daily daily footage is 27m, maximum monthly footage is 389m.
